Last updated: 2 September 2026

Tonagi is the tuner that becomes a practice partner: it plays the reference beside you like an accompanying piano, follows your practice step by step, and shows you whether you are actually improving.

Made by Bernardo Barreira — violinist with the Gulbenkian Orchestra (Lisbon), luthier, and the creator of Tonagi. Launch: autumn 2026, on the App Store; in beta with musicians now.

Press contact: [email protected]. We answer quickly, and a press TestFlight is available on request.

Name and marks

Tonagi joins Tone (the pitch), Tonari (Japanese, "by your side") and Nagi (凪 — the sea falling still as the wind stops). Please write it with a capital T only: "Tonagi". The wordmark sets "To" in light neutral and "nagi" in green; the symbol may be used on its own. Typography is the system font — SF on Apple platforms — light for body text, semibold for emphasis; no webfont.
